Krista Jo (McLeish) Grange passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, surrounded and held by her family, at the age of 53. She was born November 14, 1970, in Terre Haute, Indiana, and was a resident of Clinton, Indiana, throughout much of her life.
Krista was a graduate of South Vermillion High School and St. Joseph’s College, and received her juris doctorate at DePaul College of Law. She was a thoughtful and patient counsel to many, both in her professional role and in her personal life. She had an extended network of friends and colleagues from her successful legal career in private practice and then with Old National Bank and First Financial Bank in Terre Haute.
Krista and her husband “Boomer” raised three active, loving, and intelligent daughters together. She enjoyed spending time watching her girls in their athletic pursuits, often coached by Boomer. For many years, she cheered for the Wildcats from the bleachers during the softball, basketball, and volleyball seasons.
She is survived by her husband, Allen “Boomer” Grange, daughters Hope Grange, Hannah (Brandon) Grange-Johnson, and Abigail Grange, parents Hugh and Donna McLeish, and siblings Peg (Andrew) McLeish-Minnis, Brian (Jami) McLeish, Mike (Cindy) McLeish, and Pat (Roberta) McLeish. She is also survived by her in-laws, Allen Grange and Gail (Dave) Grinley. The Grange family welcomed her as a member of their family for many years. Krista was a fun and caring aunt to dozens of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a loving niece to aunts and uncles from the McLeish and Tuberosa families.
Krista is, and will continue to be, an inspiration to us all. She epitomized courage, grace, steadfast determination, genuine authenticity, unyielding love, and so much more. May she truly rest in eternal peace.
