In Loving Memory of Joann Pitchkites

December 18, 1938 – January 21, 2025

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Joann who left us peacefully on January 21, 2025, at the age of 86, Joann was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a cherished friend, and a remarkable individual whose presence touched the lives of all who knew her.

Joann was born on December 18, 1938, in Clinton, Indiana. From a young age, it was evident that Joann possessed a unique combination of intelligence, and determination. She loved baking, flowers and her family. One of her qualities was her unwavering kindness. She retired from First Financial Bank in Clinton. 

Joann was an active member of Sacred Heart Church where she volunteered her time and resources to support various causes.

Joann is survived by her daughter; Kim Bruce, son; Kevin Pitchkites, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother; Tom (Martha Vernon) Vietti and several nieces and nephews. Also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Joann's memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Ed Pitchkites, parents; Tom and Ann (Stariha) Vietti and her brother Mike Vietti.

Visitation will be at Sacred Heart Church, January 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM until service time at 12:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 PM with Fr. Anthony Nallukunnel O.F.M. Conv. Internment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Clinton. Memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Church.
